Another delay, folks: The Force Unleashed is now set for Sept 16th. They must be working really hard trying to get these glitches out or something. Or maybe they are just needing more time to make a decent amount of copies for the game.

Awesome new video about the Wii, PS2, PSP, and DS versions of the game:

http://psp.ign.com/dor/objects/885369/star-wars-the-force-unleashed/videos/sw_webdoc4_tfu_exp_040708.html

It's also revealed that you'll be playing as Darth Vader on Kashyyyk in the first level in all versions of the game. Your reason for being there is to find the source of a major spike in Force sensitivity, which turns out to be the infant (or young child) secret apprentice. You have to kill his Jedi Father (mom died in Order 66 defending the Wookies. The wookies were attacked by Clones for helping Yoda and other Jedi escape.) before taking the secret apprentice under your cape and then playing as the fledgling Dark Jedi in the next level years later.

No wonder this game has been delayed three times. A game like this must have lots of glitches to fix, and require alot of time to make.

"Thousands of Jedi have died cursing Darth Desolous!"

New Historical Mission confirmed: The Invisible Hand

http://www.lucasarts.com/games/theforceunleashed/

Go look at the screenshots for the PSP and you'll find a picture of Anakin dueling Dooku on General Greivous's flag ship. This duel makes the first time Anakin kills in cold blood, and is perhaps one of his greatest strides to the dark side of the force (perhaps second only to when his mother dies and he kills all those tusken raiders). I can't wait to play this battle!

Better get your PSP fixed, Godzillalien. Here's a video I found on Youtube someone posted. This guy found it when playing Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron. It starts off showing mainly the concept art and the early production demos that show those Jedi using the force powers on the stormtroopers, but later it actually shows new footage from the PSP version (and from The Empire Strikes Back) and talks more about that particular version of the game:

http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=ptpSmCeU3Yo

It also appears to reveal the final historic mission:

Inferno- Play as Obi-Wan on Mustafar
Objective- Defeat Darth Vader

Obi-Wan vs. Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, whatever you want to call him at this point in the history of Star Wars, is the most epic duel in all of the six movies. I wonder how well the last cutscene, which will obviously show Darth Vader getting burned by the lavas of Mustafar, will be recreated with the game's CG graphics. It's going to be bone-chilling to watch something like that in the game. It'll be the first time, in any game I've ever played, watching someone so favored get burned like that, actually showing the damage inflicted by the fire, in a game. I mean, sure, I've played as Anakin in Battlefront 2's Assualt mode, gotten sprayed by Jango/Boba Fett's flamethrower, but the damage wasn't animated and he looked the same after the fire went out. Here, it's going to be totally different watching him burn, screaming in pain like in the movie, blistering... I'd like to see that. It was one of the most emotional moments in the movie, watching two people who were as close as brothers shouting at each other... then one of them catching on fire and the other just walking away...

I have to mail it to Sony, wait a few weeks, then get it back, but it'll be worth it. The switch that opens the disc slot broke, and I couldn't pry the disk slot open. I had Star Wars: Battlefront II in the slot.

^Whoops, you posted while I was editing my last post.

So, the five Historic missions are (I don't think these are the actual names of the levels, but I gave it a shot, and the missions themselves are correct):

1. Duel in the Clouds- Cloud City, Bespin. Defeat Luke Skywalker as Darth Vader.

2. Escape the Execution- Great Pit of Carkoon, on Jabba's Sail Barge and the surrounding anti-grav boats. As Luke Skywalker, avoid falling into the Sarlacc, rescue your friends, and escape Jabba's Sail barge.

3. Arena in the Hive- Geonosian Execution Arena, Geonosis. As Mace Windu, free Alaaya Secura, destroy the battle droids, and kill Jango Fett.

4. A Hero's Last Duel- On board the Invisible Hand, above Coruscant. As Anakin Skywalker, make your way to the top of the Invisible Hand's spire, defeat Dooku, and free Chancellor Palpatine. This is Anakin's last duel as a hero, and his fall to the Dark Side will accelerate dramatically from this point.

5. Inferno- Lava Milling Station/CIS Headquaters, Mustafar. As Obi-Wan, wipe out the remaining droids and defeat Darth Vader.

Man, I love this list. Hey! Maybe, the people making the game are taking a more movie-like direction and the duel on Mustafar alternates with the duel between Yoda and Palpatine on Coruscant! One mission, two duels, play as Obi-Wan, play as Yoda, and defeat your enemies!

Fat chance of that, but... it... could happen...

Here's another video on the Force Unleashed. I think we've all heard by now that we can play as Darth Vader in the first level, and Force Lightning (being unusable by Vader in the cannon Star Wars Timeline due to the risk of it shorting out his mechanical parts and life-support suit) has been replaced by his iconic Force Choke, so we'll be able to make Wookies know how it feels to be on the recieving end of a shortage of air, rather than the other way around. This video doesn't reveal too much new information other than a hint at the Secret Apprentice's code name, which starts with the letter S. (Theorized to be Starkiller, the name for Darth Vader in the original script of Star Wars)

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/32828.html

And here's another one about the Wii version.

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/32802.html

Go ahead and look around a little more at the other videos. I must say, the Wii version's graphics look to have improved big time since the last video. That keeps me optomistic for the PSP version. Of course graphics aren't everything, but every game needs visual flare. Man, I hope I can get a Wii sometime soon. I'll definatley be getting both the Wii and PSP versions if I can.

Wookiepedia confirms the codename of the Secret Apprentice to be Starkiller, derived from Skywalker's original last name in the original Star Wars script. However, ths source for this material has yet to be investigated. I'll be sending an "excavation team" to the site to find a link and confirm. Who'll go with me?:
