Carve a huge memorial for him/her, for starters, maybe find something that resembles something he/she was a big fan of, like if he/she was mostly into Final Fantasy, I would get him a Buster Sword replica and include it in the memorial.
Then, I would try to settle with whoever kill him/her. Find out why the killer did what he did, and, if nessecary, kill him.
